Assault Rifle · 5.56
Han 86 in MW4 DMZ: stats, unlock and Apex Attachment
A South Korean service rifle in 5.56 with a quick fire rate and middling per-shot damage. It is one of the weapons available as soon as Create-a-Class opens, and it is built to be usable at close and long range alike.
How it compares to other assault rifles
- Fire rate: 740 RPM, which is #2 of 8 in its class.
- Magazine: 30 rounds, which is tied for the highest of 8. The reserve holds about 3 more magazines.
- Mag dump: about 2.4s of continuous fire at the listed rate. This is our calculation, and burst or semi-auto weapons take longer in practice.

Attachment slots
The Han 86 has 9 attachment categories. In MW4 you unlock each attachment once, and it then works on every weapon that accepts it.
- Optic
- Muzzle
- Barrel
- Underbarrel
- Magazine
- Rear Grip
- Stock
- Laser
- Ammunition
We are not publishing our own attachment-by-attachment build until we have tested this weapon in the launch version. Until then, the in-game Gunny optimizer in Create-a-Class and the FOB Gunsmith can suggest close-range, balanced and long-range builds from the attachments you own.
Apex Attachment: Han X20 Skybreaker
Adds a targeting optic and a 20mm airburst launcher that detonates above a chosen point, which is good for clearing players out of cover. A direct impact does not explode.
It blocks the Optic, Stock, Barrel slot(s). Apex Attachments do not use one of your normal attachment slots, and you unlock this one at weapon level 72.
Getting the Han 86 in DMZ
The Han 86 unlocks at player level 4, the same level Create-a-Class opens, so it is available from the start.
In DMZ the player level only matters for leveling, because weapon levels and attachment unlocks are shared with Multiplayer. To actually carry a Han 86 into Hajin:
- Loot one from enemies, players or military containers. Weapons found in Hajin can have up to 8 attachments.
- Buy it from the Vendor (DMZ level 5) when it is in that day's stock.
- Extract once with the Han 86 Weapon Manual. After that you can buy the base weapon at the Gunsmith (DMZ level 10) as often as you like and add up to 5 attachments with DMZ Cash.
Any Han 86 you extract with can also be upgraded at the Gunsmith as a one-off copy. You can carry two weapons in and out of a deployment, or more with a Weapon Backpack.
