MW4 DMZ Hajin map guide: every POI and threat level

Hajin has 13 major points of interest and more than 60 named locations. Every zone has a starting threat level from Low to Extreme. For your first deployments, the safest areas are Songdo Wharf, Mirae General Hospital and Cheongun Village. The most dangerous are the Nenshin Tech Complex and the Chang-san Air Base bunker.

Threat level by zone

These are starting threat levels for AI enemies before any fighting. Combat raises them, and other players are not counted.

Cheonwang Peak Array · Central Hajin (former South Korea)

Cheonwang Peak Array Medium

Hajin’s largest telecom array, on a flat summit surrounded by wilderness. The enemy has taken it over and turned its buildings into barracks. The roof has a helipad and long views over the area.

Haneul Nuclear Reactor · Northeast Hajin (former South Korea)

A damaged nuclear plant with a cloud of radioactive vapor settled over it. Reactor 02 and the containment block are breached, and Reactor 01 is described as stable "for now".

Minor locations

The map grid runs from letters (west to east) to numbers (north to south). D7, for example, is Imjin Farmland, and every key's description includes a grid reference.

What each building type is good for

Location typeWhy go there
Gas Stations / Marine Gas StationsRepair and refuel vehicles and refill Gas Cans. Vehicles in DMZ need fuel and repairs.
Fire Stations (red)Radiation Gear and Parachutes. Expect enemies.
Police Stations (blue)Military gear and a locked Armory.
Clinics (green)Medical loot. Watch for players waiting to ambush the wounded.
CompoundsBetter loot and intel, plus armored vehicles such as the LTV. They are heavily defended, so a stealthy approach helps.
Ammo & Armor CachesRestock ammo and plates. Each cache has a cooldown after use.
UAV TowersA Side Op that pays DMZ Cash and pings nearby enemies and Operators.
SAM SitesCapture one and it shoots down enemy aircraft, which helps against Deathstalkers, as long as you stay nearby.
Lieutenant Hunt towersShow roughly where a nearby Lieutenant is.
Bounty StationsBuy intel on Wanted players or pay off your own Bounty.

Exfil

Exfil sites, marked by green smoke, rotate from a pool of locations. Call the helicopter and hold the site until it lands. A Fulton balloon or a Flare also works, but a flare is loud and visible from far away. Other squads often wait at exfils to ambush you.

FAQ

What is the most dangerous place in Hajin?

Activision rates two zones Extreme: the Nenshin Tech Complex in The Grid and the bunker under Chang-san Air Base. The rest of The Grid and the outside of the air base are rated Critical.

Where is the safest place to loot in DMZ?

Every zone at Songdo Wharf, Mirae General Hospital and Cheongun Village (except the casino) is rated Low threat, and so are the Deadtown outskirts and Imjin Farmland. Other players can still show up anywhere, because threat levels only describe AI enemies.

How do I get into the Haneul Nuclear Reactor?

You need radiation gear and a gas mask, and Fire Stations are a listed place to find Radiation Gear. Activision mentions two other routes in: by water, or through a tunnel from Compound Delta to the southwest.

Where do I find Radiation Gear and Parachutes?

Search Fire Stations. Police Stations have military gear and a locked Armory, and Clinics (the green buildings) have medical loot.
