Pistol · 9mm
SANG 9mm in MW4 DMZ: stats, unlock and Apex Attachment
A close-quarters 9mm sidearm with fast follow-up shots and very little recoil.
How it compares to other pistols
- Fire rate: 370 RPM, which is the highest of 4 in its class.
- Magazine: 13 rounds, which is the highest of 4. The reserve holds about 3 more magazines.
- Mag dump: about 2.1s of continuous fire at the listed rate. This is our calculation, and burst or semi-auto weapons take longer in practice.
| Weapon | Fire rate | Mag | Reserve | Mag dump | Weapon lvls | Unlock (MP lvl) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SANG 9mm | 370 RPM | 13 | 39 | 2.1s | 38 | 4 |
| Krait P68 | 260 RPM | 10 | 40 | 2.3s | 38 | 7 |
| .50 GS | 166 RPM | 7 | 21 | 2.5s | 37 | 41 |
| Mojave .357 | 141 RPM | 8 | 32 | 3.4s | 44 | 48 |
Attachment slots
The SANG 9mm has 8 attachment categories. In MW4 you unlock each attachment once, and it then works on every weapon that accepts it.
- Optic
- Muzzle
- Barrel
- Magazine
- Rear Grip
- Trigger Action
- Laser
- Ammunition
We are not publishing our own attachment-by-attachment build until we have tested this weapon in the launch version. Until then, the in-game Gunny optimizer in Create-a-Class and the FOB Gunsmith can suggest close-range, balanced and long-range builds from the attachments you own.
Apex Attachment: SANG Breach
Adds a single-shell 12-gauge underbarrel with a canted stance to absorb the recoil.
It blocks the Laser slot(s). Apex Attachments do not use one of your normal attachment slots, and you unlock this one at weapon level 38.
Getting the SANG 9mm in DMZ
The SANG 9mm unlocks at player level 4, the same level Create-a-Class opens, so it is available from the start.
In DMZ the player level only matters for leveling, because weapon levels and attachment unlocks are shared with Multiplayer. To actually carry a SANG 9mm into Hajin:
- Loot one from enemies, players or military containers. Weapons found in Hajin can have up to 8 attachments.
- Buy it from the Vendor (DMZ level 5) when it is in that day's stock.
- Extract once with the SANG 9mm Weapon Manual. After that you can buy the base weapon at the Gunsmith (DMZ level 10) as often as you like and add up to 5 attachments with DMZ Cash.
Any SANG 9mm you extract with can also be upgraded at the Gunsmith as a one-off copy. You can carry two weapons in and out of a deployment, or more with a Weapon Backpack.
